It Just Plays Everything

When I first started to download video files, I noticed no one ever uses the same file format, thus may computer was getting cluttered with various media players. Lo and behold, I found the solution: a little program called Gom Player.

Not only does this program play pretty much everything I have downloaded, it is light, uncluttered, and easy to use. My favorite feature of all? It plays broken .avi files, files which some other programs refuse to play because of indexing issues. It was annoying to try and use .avi’s which seemed fine but some other players had a problem with. Gom player has no problems at all and powers through everything.

If you come across some of the more obscure video file types and GOM doesn’t immediately have the codec to play it, it automatically searches for it and almost always finds it. Ah, and even better, if you have a TV series downloaded and all the episodes in the same folder, it will play through them all: once one episode is done, it will immediately start to play the next episode. That is only the tip of the iceberg for the enthusiast who will find many, many more features.
